What Car Bzaar is, in plain words.

Car Bzaar is a car market that happens in real life, on a specific day, in a parking lot. Sellers, private owners or dealers, rent a spot and bring the car they're selling. Buyers walk the lot, look at cars in person, and talk directly to the seller. There's no bidding platform and no escrow. We're the venue and the organizer.

Buying or selling a car online is mostly a mess. Sellers repeat the same answers to the same messages, dodge lowball offers, and wait for tire-kickers who never show. Buyers scroll dozens of listings, drive across the city to see one car, and often find the ad was stale, the photos were flattering, or the seller has already ghosted.

It's a lot of tabs, a lot of driving, and very little actual car-buying.

Cars are physical things. Sitting in one, hearing it start, and looking at the underside for five seconds tells you more than any listing. Meeting the seller tells you even more. Put fifty cars in one lot on one afternoon and buyers can do in a couple of hours what would take them weeks of Kijiji tabs, and sellers get real buyers standing next to their car, not another "still available?" message.

Car Bzaar is a new, independent local project. We're based in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge region and the first event will be somewhere in the KW area. We're not a dealership, not affiliated with any dealership, and we don't take a cut of any sale. Over time we'd like to run events in other Canadian cities too, but the first one is close to home so we can get it right.
